Meet the Team: Art Director Loris Bussolotti

Discover how our Art Director from Italy rose from Lead Concept Artist to set the entire artistic tone for THUNDER, creating our Key Art and leading the team to achieve incredible goals.

Loris Bussolotti joined IMU Studios in 2019 as our Lead Concept Artist, bringing with him over a decade of experience in the gaming industry. His work on previous AAA titles caught our attention, but it was his passion for creating immersive worlds that made him the perfect fit for THUNDER. Within his first year, Loris created the iconic Key Art that would define THUNDER's visual identity. His bold use of color, dynamic compositions, and attention to detail set a new standard for the entire art team. In 2021, Loris was promoted to Art Director, where he now oversees all visual aspects of the game. Under his leadership, our art team has grown from 5 to over 25 talented artists, each contributing to the stunning world of THUNDER. "My goal is to create a game that players will remember for years to come," says Loris. "Every texture, every character, every environment should tell a story and evoke emotion. That's what makes great art." When he's not directing the art team, Loris can be found mentoring junior artists and experimenting with new techniques in Unreal Engine 5. His dedication to excellence inspires everyone at IMU Studios.
