3D Character Rigger We are seeking an additional, exceptional 3D Character Rigger for our playable Characters, digital Creatures, NPCs, and Animals. Your Mission You are to become the connective pipeline from our 3D Modelers, to check their production and confirm or correct 3D structures before models are UV Mapped for textures. Once you have approved the 3D model, you will rig and skin the model to our Lead animator’s specifications. Responsibilities You’re an expert at organic joint and body motion requirements to create the fluidity of our character’s natural flexibility and biological innate characteristics. Key Duties Create high-performance, animation-friendly character and creature rigs Help solve team problems to make sure they achieve their deadlines Provide feedback and develop standards for character production Develop a flexible character production pipeline within the team Character Skinning and rigging in Maya and MotionBuilder Work closely with 3D artists and animators Refine and manage production workflows Confirming 3D models are built correctly Skin 3D Models for Animation Rig 3D Models for Animation Technical Skills Rigging excellence for custom realistic characters, facial rigs, biped, winged, quadruped, and creatures Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong knowledge of human and animal anatomy Attention to detail and ability to multitask General knowledge of online gaming Excellence in character skinning skill Troubleshooting skills Software Targets Maya Blender MotionBuilder Google Docs & Sheets Qualifications & Experience Solid knowledge of how to develop a character production pipeline, along with rigging and animation workflows Excellent knowledge of Maya; experience working with MotionBuilder Excellent knowledge of anatomy and topology for 3D characters 2+ Years of experience in rigging and general 3D art production Essential knowledge of animation and other 3D art processes A comprehensive reel demonstrating rigging capabilities No degree, certificate, or diploma is required Experience with Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5 Experience being part of a creative team Good knowledge of rig scripting Bonus Skills Good knowledge of scripting Maya Python and Mel Knowledge of HLSL shader in Unreal Engine 3 years to 5 years of industry experience Experience in game development We currently have two options: REV SHARE: Join now, gain experience and references (easy to join), log your time, bank your rate, and get paid out with bonuses, as the investment is secured and as revenue comes in.
